French Country Wedding

About

R & R had a romantic wedding in the French countryside. The couple wanted their day to have a relaxed vibe so they could enjoy the weekend in with their closest family and friends. An intimate church service was followed by an alfresco wedding breakfast before our DJs jumped on the decks to help the bride and groom party into the early hours. Celebrations continued the next day with BBQ and pool party. An utterly charming and completely unique wedding - thanks for letting us be part of it!

Venue

The mother of the bride owns a beautiful chateau in Moux surrounded by almond orchards - amazing settings for a summer wedding.

Decor

A Persian rug aisle welcomed guests to the house, fresh flowers sat in jam jars on the tables, and vintage arm chairs were arranged in the garden to create a rustic outdoor lounge for the guests.

Food

Spit roast lamb was served alfresco style in the afternoon and plates of homemade ratatouille and fresh greens were passed down the tables. A profiterole tower wedding cake followed before the wedding party burst into song, singing the French National Anthem.

Music

As well as few wedding classics to keep the dance-floor full, it was important for R & R to have the music they really loved played at their wedding. (They grew up listening to 80s house and still holiday in Ibiza.) The wedding was followed by a mellow Balearic/Ibiza House pool party the next day. We even shared the turntables with a few of the brides friends!

First Dance

The groom is from New Zealand so instead of your typical first dance the dance-floor was opened with a spontaneous Haka performance - amazing!

Photographer

We were briefed to avoid excessively posed photos and instead capture the essence of the weekend. The rustic french setting made the perfect backdrop for our photographers to get some beautifully candid shots and capture the details of the day.
